The best cellar doors between Ballina and Brisbane are all off the highway and up a hill — Tamborine Mountain most of all. A private transfer gets you from the airport to the mountain at a fixed price; an hourly or full-day driver takes you between the cellar doors and back to your accommodation, and stays with the car while you taste.
Hourly Driver: $110 per hour, 4-hour minimum ($440) — enough for four or five Tamborine cellar doors from a Gold Coast base. Full-Day Driver: up to 10 hours, airport pickup included — see the tour page for the day rate. All prices are per vehicle: a Kia Carnival takes seven, a Maxi Taxi eleven.

How a cellar-door day works
- Airport to the mountain, fixed price. One fare from either airport to any Tamborine Mountain address — your accommodation or the first cellar door.
- Driver for the day. Book the Hourly Driver (4-hour minimum) or the Full-Day Driver and we take you door to door between wineries, the distillery and lunch, waiting at each stop.
- Nobody drives. Every seat in the car is a tasting seat. A Carnival carries seven, a Maxi eleven.
- Back down the mountain, on time. Return to the Gold Coast, Brisbane or the airport when you are done — booked in advance, no phoning for a ride from the top of the range.

Can the driver stay with us for the day?
