Book early — Maxi Taxi availability is limited
Maxi Taxis are the highest-demand vehicle tier for Gold Coast airport transfers. During school holiday peaks and summer, Maxi bookings fill weeks in advance. Book as soon as you have confirmed flight details — you can update passenger numbers later.
Confirm everyone is on the same flight
A single Maxi Taxi booking works when all passengers arrive on the same or closely timed flights. If the group is split across flights arriving 2+ hours apart, it’s usually more efficient to book separate vehicles than have part of the group waiting.
Specify child seats and ages
For large family groups, specify each child’s age at booking. We configure the Maxi Taxi with the correct combination of child restraints before pickup. Large group bookings with multiple child seats require more configuration time — early booking ensures the vehicle is properly set up.
Nominate a group contact
Provide one mobile number as the primary contact for the driver. In a large group, multiple people calling or texting the driver creates confusion. The nominated contact coordinates the group’s arrival and communicates with the driver.
Allow extra time at pickup
Large groups take longer to collect luggage, assemble at the exit and load into the vehicle. Add at least 20–30 minutes beyond your scheduled arrival for immigration, baggage claim and group assembly before the transfer begins.

What if our group is 12 people?
The Maxi Taxi maximum is 11 passengers. For groups of 12 or more, we recommend booking a Maxi Taxi for the majority plus a KIA Carnival or sedan for the remainder — keeping the cost lower than two full Maxi bookings. Call 0414 680 860 to discuss multi-vehicle coordination for your group.
Can we fit a double pram in a Maxi Taxi?
A folded double pram (side-by-side or tandem) fits in most Maxi Taxi configurations. Mention the pram dimensions or model at booking so we can confirm fit. For very large travel systems (e.g., Bugaboo Donkey), boot space may vary — better to confirm in advance than discover a fit issue at pickup.
Is the fare per person or per vehicle?
The fare is per vehicle, not per person. Up to 11 passengers travel for the same flat fare. This makes the Maxi Taxi significantly more cost-effective per person than booking multiple smaller vehicles for groups of 6 or more.
Do you offer multiple vehicles for very large groups?
Yes. For groups exceeding 11 passengers, we coordinate multiple vehicles — typically a Maxi Taxi plus a KIA Carnival or sedan. Both vehicles depart together and arrive at the destination at approximately the same time. Call us to discuss coordination for groups of 12+.
What if the group has different destination addresses?
If the group is splitting across two different accommodation addresses in the same area, we can typically accommodate both stops for a single fare (subject to routing). Communicate this at booking — don’t surprise the driver on the day with an extra stop.
