Every child seat in our fleet meets the Australian Standard AS/NZS 1754. We pre-install the restraints before your pickup — so when you walk out of arrivals, the seat is already fitted, adjusted and waiting. Child seat fee: $25 per seat.

For babies from birth to approximately 6 months (up to 9 kg). Required by Queensland law for infants under 6 months.

Are your child seats pre-installed before pickup?
Yes. We install and check every child restraint before we arrive at your pickup point. When you walk out of arrivals, the seat is already fitted and ready. You don’t need to arrive early or allow extra time for installation.
Which child seats do you have available?
We carry rear-facing infant capsules (for babies from birth to approximately 6 months), forward-facing baby seats with inbuilt harnesses (for toddlers 6 months to approximately 4 years), and booster seats (for children approximately 4 to 7 years). All meet AS/NZS 1754. Each seat is $25.
Can we fit multiple child seats in one vehicle?
Yes. The KIA Carnival accommodates up to 3 child seats simultaneously — for example, a capsule, a baby seat and a booster. Simply specify the ages and number of children when booking and we’ll configure the vehicle accordingly.
What happens if our flight is delayed?
We track your flight using the flight number you provide at booking. If you’re delayed, we adjust the pickup time automatically at no extra charge. Your driver will be there when you land — you won’t be left waiting or charged a waiting fee for delays caused by the airline.
Do you carry prams and strollers?
Yes. The KIA Carnival and Maxi Taxi both have generous boot space for full-size prams, travel systems and compact strollers alongside family luggage. If you have an unusually large pram, mention it at booking so we can confirm fit.
Is there a meet and greet service?
Yes. Our meet and greet service ($33) means your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, helps load luggage and walks you through the child seat setup before driving off. It’s particularly useful when travelling with young children or a lot of gear.
Can you take a large family group to Brisbane Airport?
Yes. The Maxi Taxi carries up to 11 passengers and is the ideal option for large families, extended family groups or families travelling with grandparents. Gold Coast to Brisbane Airport in a Maxi Taxi is from $250, keeping everyone together in one vehicle.
Do you operate during Christmas and Easter public holidays?
Yes — we operate across all public holidays. A public holiday surcharge of $50 applies on Christmas Day and Easter. Booking in advance is strongly recommended for peak travel periods, as vehicle availability fills quickly for family transfer slots.
What Queensland law applies to child restraints in hire vehicles?
Queensland law requires children under 7 to use an approved child restraint. Babies under 6 months must be rear-facing. Children 6 months to under 4 years must use a rear-facing or forward-facing restraint with an inbuilt harness. Children 4 to under 7 must use a forward-facing restraint with harness or an approved booster seat. All restraints we supply comply with AS/NZS 1754 and Queensland Transport requirements.
